short shifter short question
why is it that I search for a red short throw shifter on ebay and I can buy one for either $8 or $80. Are the cheap ones made from pressed pencil shavings? How can there be such a huge price gap?
A lot of cheap ones are made out of aluminum which will just break. Why do you want a red shifter?
Just throw some upgraded shift bushings in the car and then see if you like the feel better.

I use a skunk2 dual bend with their weighted shift ***. It's pricey but you do get what you pay for with car parts.. I had an ebay one on my car before and it snapped at the track shifting from 1st to 2nd.
Thanks all. I guys I'll steer clear of the cheap stuff. I wanted red because I like the idea of just a little red being visible between my boot and my ****, and I didn't want to paint because the threads on the current OEM shifter are beyond destroyed and I have a crappy Wal-Mart shift ****. I was thinking that if shifters are available for $8 I'll just buy a new red one and put it in.
Now I'm thinking twice about that.
