Default Tires, Tires, Tires

How much does a shop usually charge to mount tires if they have to take them off your bike?

How much do they charge nearby to mount them on the rim and is there any problems with this route?

What kind of turn around can I expect if I just bring the rims in?

Try calling a shop, they will give you exact amounts.

If you make an appointment, it would take an hour. $25-50 per wheel, depending on if you bought your tires at the shop or not. Although some shops will cut you a break, I had two tires mounted and balanced, and had new bearings installed for $100 in total.

Just call some shops

I spent right at hour and a half at the dealer to just change my rear tire due to a flat.

Lucky though I got the bike with a tire warrenty that replaces the tire as long as there is 1/32" of tread depth, so all of it was free so it didn't bother me..lol

ooohh tire coverage? That shop took you to the cleaners I bet.

As for charging, if you take the shop your bike, it usually costs 50-100 bucks for the complete job. Before I started mounting my own, I'd take just the wheels, as I don't trust any of those monkeys to touch my bike, and respect me/my bike. Just my 2 cents.

What do you mean by "took me to the cleaners?"

Gave me a bad tire? Its a Dunlop Qualifier which isn't no Pilote but still a good tire, considering its free..lol

it's anywhere from 50-100 if they have to pull the wheels.

10-30/wheel if you bring em loose

blood, sweat, and tears.

lots of lube too.

it's a lot like sex. or childbirth.

usually two tires irons and some type of bead breaker is sufficient to change your own. an air supply (compressor) is good to have around when you need to set the bead.
