Default Opinion: Ignition Switch

Since my ignition is [freak]ed from when it was stolen do you guys/gals think I would be better off doing like an s2000 push start button instead of getting a new ignition switch? It is 37.xx from http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-03.html for the s2000 replacement button or should I get the new ignition switch with key from Honda for like 119.xx I can't exactly remember how much they said it was, somewhere in that price range...one thing I was thinking about is it would be a lot easier for a thief to steal my car again since there would be no key required..ahh help!

You think so? You think the push button is a bad way to go?

Thing is, the push button is all that is. A button.
It tells a subcomponent in the S2K to turn the vehicle on. It in itself would not just plug in and keep a car going. You'd have to do some wiring work. You could, however, use that as a $40 fancy starter button after getting an 'on' switch installed.

As you know, you'll need to boost your vehicle security even more after this. What do you have protecting you right now?

Yeah, I read the write ups on doing the push button start..right now I currently have nothing..lol. But I'm not worried about it getting stolen right this second...it's at a shop waiting to get a motor installed where it has been for almost a year..
