crank pulley bolt

ok so my friend stripped his pulley bolt for the crank can he just buy a new bolt and slap it in?

If he just stripped the head on the bolt then yes, but if the hole in the crank i wouldnt be so sure.

yea the bolt is whats stripped so i guess only time will tell
