Default I need a new engine

I have a 97 cx it had a d16y7 and well I just threw a rod today =[ oil everywhere

But im over that already and well now Im in the market for a new engine swap my budget is around $2K possibly a lil more

I have done some resarch in the past and was planing on an H2b swap but that doesnt seem like its going to happen and I need to get my car rollin

My tastes seems to be more geared toward all motor and I have a couple of people that have some engine swaps just chillin lik a b16 obd1 but what Im looking for is a gsr

Im i over shooting my goals for the GSR with a budget of around $2K I will have my friend of a friend install it for like $200 or so

I just wanted to get some of your opinions about lets say b16 vs ls vtec vs gsr

any comments appreciated thank you honda-tech

http://www.hmotorsonline.com most common and trust worthy place if you dont mind running a obd1 in an obd2 car (i heard in my state PA it is illegal to do that so im kinda hesitant to do so) you can get i believe a gen 1 b16 SIR motor from 92-95 for like 1900 shipped to your door full swap and you will deff need motor mounts but when you call and order you can tell them what you are getting it for and they will give you the right ones make sure you get the complete change over or you can get an h22 for a little over 2 grand full swap aswell

yea I want the H22 I would prefer to run a 97+ spec for my car so it can get reffed but from what I hear there will be a lil trouble with install I see http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30016
^^ H22 swap all I would need is mounts and OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness my friend was telling me somthing about a cable tranny?

I dont mind running an OBD1 and yea I do think thats illegal but I have never been harassed for engine codes nor has any of my friends its just mainly modified exhaust as well as intake

I want an all motor engine thats around 200 hp and about 160 trq thats including basic mods IHE

my friend also has a B16 head hes willing to give up for pretty cheap as well as cam gears and shafts so I was also thinking going that route with B16 or B20 Vetec but im still not sure =[

Default Re: (EJK1D)

no turbo for me I want a reliable DD that has a lil more POWA I am leaning towards the H swap though due to the power but money is gonna be tight oh well Im just gonna have to do some research to see what else is needed
- Motor
- Hydraulic Tranny
- ECU (P13)
- Alternator
- Starter
- Clutch
- Flywheel
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- Distributor
- Engine Harness
- Comes With All Sensors Needed
- LSD Tranny (Optional +$300)

= $1900 and Ill pick up all the stuff

+ I would need axels, mounts, obd2 to obd1 conversion harness? or can I just mod the harness? this is just off my head though Shift linkage?
