changed tranny fluid (Honda MTF)/engine oil today(RP 5w-30) (and filter).
I was idling for a while, waiting for a friend, and I backed up and started to move forward and my car just shut off, so I popped my hood and everything looked normal, fuses were fine, and my fuel pump primed. I just charged my battery and my grounds are good.
Now my fuel pump wont prime and I have a code 22 (VTEC pressure valve), I'm using a pr3 ecu until my p28 comes back from getting chipped. It almost sounds like my timing is off, but my belt is tight, and I reset my timing 3 days ago to factory specs.
Can anyone lend me a hand, my car is sitting in some ghetto apt. area untill i can figure wtf is wrong with it.
95 del sol si, obd1 JDM d15b SOHC VTEC.
im thinking, either my dizzy, main relay, or my ecu is damaged? my buddy seems to think its my fuel pump, but I was getting fuel before any of this.

Check whether the fuel pump is getting power. If not, the main relay is the prime suspect. Double check for blown fuses. Code 22 is possibly due to the fact that the new oil has not had a chance yet to circulate through the engine.

thanks for the response. In my OP I mentioned that I checked fuses, they all seem to be fine, I even swapped a couple of the old ones with new ones... As far as the oil circulating, I gave the car plenty of time to let it circulate, it idled on and off for over 20 minutes, so I think it had plenty of time to circulate... Which leads me to believe that its electronic or timing related...
lol lame things to check.... Gas? do you have gas in the car lol, check alternater, check to see if you are even getting fuel(fuel rail..), check the fuel filter under the hood if its clogged you wont get enough gas through to run the car...

thank you. gas is full, alternator might be having problems but i had a friend use jumper cables and i tried to start it... fuel filter has about 1000 miles on it, and i just ran seafoam through my gas tank/crankcase/intake mani...
keep the ideas coming please

it's just my spare ecu, untill mine can come back... my car generally runs fine with it with out any problems it throws a knock sensor code, but my car doesn't have a knock sensor that I'm aware of... as far as it being obd0, is false, i think id know somethign was wrong when my plugs didnt fit. there are JDM pr3's which are obd1 heres a link to one I found online by searching for "pr3 ecu"

It doesn't matter that its OBD1 anyways, you shouldn't run a twincam ECU on a SOHC motor...

well it does matter if its obd1 because nothing obd0 would be all f-cked up and my car prob wouldnt even start... im aware i shouldn't run a DOHC ecu on a SOHC motor, but its only for a short time and i've ran it before with no problems... this is totally beside the point, MY CAR ISNT RUNNING, I need to fix that before I can do anything with my ECU, the car RAN fine before!
update: timing is perfect, and I'm getting spark and fuel (checked my injectors), took rocker arm assy apart and inspected camshaft (recently installed[stock]), everything looks fine... i guess i gotta check my dizzy next?

A month is not a short time...
It doesn't matter if the car ran fine before, the whole point of 'automotive trouble shooting' is ruling out things that can cause problems. To me, You have the wrong ECU for the car you KNOW this, and fact that it ran before or not wouldn't matter, I would start by getting the correct ECU for the car, and THEN continue trouble shooting if it still won't start.

Pull the dizzy apart and check ur cap, ignitor and coil for corrosion or burn marks. If the pick ups in the dizzy are bad or if the ignitor is bad you will have spark but it will be to weak to fire. If you can, try a friends dizzy, if that doesnt solve it check the timing. Good Luck

thanks brosef. i think i might have found the main culprit. the tooth that holds the cam gear from spinning sheared off (giving me an inaccurate display of TDC) and messed up my timing, luckily i have a spare cam gear/shaft and what not. just got done riding my bicycle to pep boys to get a new seal. time for a
and dinner and im gonna get back to it when i finish.

fixed everything, it was a timing issue, i had to tear apart the cylinder head and inspect everything, all of this happened due to a fcuked up cam gear, falsely representing TDC, ask me if u want a pic of it... but its running kinda shitty, i think i bent a valve when it jumped teeth so its idling all crappy and cyl #1 was 140 and the rest were 180 on my compression test.
