Default walbro fuel pump problem

I drove my car today and it was fine until I made a stop at the liquor store. I turned on the car and it dies out like it's not getting gas. So I turn the ignition to 2 clicks to see if my fuel pump is priming and to my surprise, it wasn't. The fuel pump would usually be really loud but I didn't hear it at all. I let the car sit for about 5 minutes and try again and it started up.

I have to mention that the pump gets very noisy when I have about 1/4 tank of gas. Like a high pitch squeal basically. Is that normal? And also the pump is about 2 years old.

Am I in need of a new fuel pump? Or is it something else like a main relay?

Fuel pumps are electronic these days, meaning that they produce heat. The Fuel in your tank is what lubricates these fuel pumps. Might wanna keep it above a half tank.

You might wanna atleast think about a fuel regulator of some sort, something to control this fuel pump.

It could be a defect as you are saying, not too sure, I just know Walboro fuel pumps dump alot of fuel for massive powered engines.

If you running a stock engine even if you swapped a stock b series and etc, you still wanna stick with the stock fuel pump. Until you turbo or go all motor with high compression.
