Default Exhaust help! Back to stock

Hi Guys and Girls,

I keep getting too much attention from the police about my exhaust being too loud and not conforming to the law set out by my politically flawed province.

I have an RSR Exmag exhaust (chambered) and they still think its illegal, go figure.

Anyways I got pulled over for my headlights, tints and exhaust. Now I have fixed the first two problems but the last is giving me some trouble. I love my RSR and its by far the quiestest of aftermarket exhausts.

My question is are there any stock exhausts that would fit a 97 Civic hatchback swapped with a B18C1 and 2.5" exhaust piping. I just need a muffler that wont restrict too much and still conform to the law (ie a stock exhaust from say an RSX or a Si).

Im really not enjoying my car right now and its breaking my heart.
Thanks for all your help HT.

get an S2K muffler and get it welded to the piping.. that muffler was designed for a bigger motor and would probably be less restrictive than the GSR muffler

I thought about that actually. You think it would get in the way of a CTR sway bar?
I heard that the RSX stuck out too much cuz it was longer.

Im going to think about the S2 though that would be sweet.
Thanks!

I would like that but im not even sure if it fits on my ek or what kind of work is required. Not to mention I live in Canada

If I can confirm that the fitment isnt too bad and that it doesnt get in the way of my CTR swaybar I might take you up on that offer!

Im going on vacation to my place in Florida in a few weeks so maybe if you still have it by then we can work something out and ill ship it to myself afterwards.

Thanks!

I know for sure it fits on an ek. I have seen pictures, i'll try to look for it and post it. I dunno about the swaybar though. You just have to take it to a muffler shop and im sure they can weld it on for you. thats what im doing. its going on my 95 hatch Let me know anyways

Im just worried that the S2k exhaust wont flow enough. I mean the s2 pushes out 240hp with 2 mufflers. My engine is ranked at 180hp with one muffler...any ideas?

if you look at the S2000 exhaust tho... it has a Y pipe at the very end, its a single exhaust all the way back until the very end..

I just got the exhaust, if you still interested lmk. I found something out, and that is that the inlet on the actuall muffler is 2", the pipe that goes to the muffle is 1 3/4", I'm going to undo the weld and take the 1 3/4 pipe out and weld a 2" pipe to the muffler. this should help more with flow. Getting it installed this weeked so i'll let you know how it turns out. I might just weld a 2.25" pipe to the muffler instead, im still deciding...
