whats a ys1 tranny out of? and is there any way to identify it beisdes the sticker? and is it suposed to have a lsd?

a ys1 can be a b16 or an lsthe only way to tell is knowing where your rps corespond to a certain mph

YS1 can also be the B17 tranny as well.

any integra sold in the US as a 92 or 93 will have a YS1.
The integra XSi should have one as well.

If it has LSD you will be able to see straight through between where the axles go in. If there is a bar going through that hole it does not have a limited slip.

usdm- there are 2 models
- short geared model from GSR- one that everyone wants, no lsd
- long geared model from rs/ls/gs integra's- good, not as snappy as the vtec short geared gearbox, no lsd

JDM- came in 1992-93 integra's and were all short geared for vtec engines.....some, only some have lsd, and as already mentioned can easily be identified by looking straight through where the drive axels mount.

Not easy....dunno, crack it open and count the gears

I bought both of mine from the actual motors they came with so i knew what i was getting

you should be able to figure out the gear ratio by spinning the input shaft in a certain gear, and then observing how many rotations the output shaft rotates.

You may go to a H-T forum that more people have b-series in to get a better answer like "check the serial number's last 4 digits" or something..
