I just bought a used 2000 Civic yesterday and was on my way to houston from dallas this morning . Everything was fine until I was using the cruise control and the rpm jumped to 5000 rpm when going up a hill and I started to see all the lights flickr like going dim and coming back every second and the SRS light comes on every 4 seconds . I can even hear the the fan going up and down like ther is no power from the battery . The guy I bought the car from said , its a new battery .

ANyone else had this same issue ?. Do I need a new battery or am I in a depper trouble with the whole wiring .....

 

All you can do at this point is look for loose connections... prob what it is. You could also get the charging system checked for free at most places
