Ok so swapped a B18A into my 90 crx si hatch. all obd0. Ok so heres where it gets weird.
Engine cranks and starts....but then dies immediately. I know this happens alot, but not like this.

I had code 10 : air intake temperature sensor. a normal code for a b series swap. I dont have a plug for my intake temp sensor.

i tried the usuals....checks ignition spark compression fuel ect. all check out ok. I swapped the tps and MAP plugs to make sure they werent crossed. verified wire colors going to each to make sure they were on correctly. This is the weird part. When the plugs are plugged in INCORRECTLY ( Map in TPS and TPS in MAP plug) I get NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Then when i plug them in correctly i get the code 10. Now after about 20 minutes of trial and error and starting on and off ( to try and get the iacv to learn its position ) i get another code. now its code 14.... electronic air control....along with code 10 which is still present.

Heres the engine symptoms.
starts and runs for about 1 second then dies. after about 10 tries it seems to last for about 2 seconds consistantly. after a few more tries i can get it to stay running like **** for a bit using the gas pedal. ( this is probobly due to no iacv memory and my timing is not 100% correct.( my dizzy isnt timed exactly...shouldnt cause this problem though)

anyways im lost and stuck i need help!

also need to know if someone can run out to their car real quick and tell me,
what color wires go into your iacv plug.

 

try setting it to TDC and redo your timing

 

mmm i actually just figured it out! was a bad map sensor....only reason i didnt condemn it at first was because its brand new. i bought a brand new omni 3 bar map and it dont work.....i plugged in my stock map and bam it works fine...so that solves that issue...now i gotta figure out if omni has a warranty on its part cuz its only a month old and has never been used!
