are LSD trannys useful even if if its a stock b16?
Why do you want a LSD? I know it seems like a stupid answer, but are you going to be tracking/racing your car? quarter mile runs, twistys? Plan on doing any work to the engine?
A LSD is always usefull, especially at the turns at the track, no matter how little power you're putting down it will help control and even it out when you push the car.
I'm not sure what kind of build your going after, but IMO I would not get a LSD, but that's because I'm on a tight budget right now and suspension modification is not my top priority.

it eliminates torque steer, and allows you to exit the corners more quickly while evenly distributing power
