Default bent valves?

I build up a h23vtec. Was having a real heard time getting the timing belt on with the manual tensioner when complete. It was a greddy timing belt. When i finally got it on the timing was off about 2 teeth. I tried starting it and wouldnt start. Do u think the valves would bend only 2 teeth off?

The cars in the shop now and the guys putting a oem timing belt on. Im a little paranoid if he does the work and ill have to rebuild the head

could have. Go and look for yourself though. Don't trust mechanics. Go in and watch. If they say you can't go to a different shop and tell them to *** themselves.

Always go with oem belts

well actually, always go with oem with all replacement parts if possible.
