Default D16Y8 parts in d17?

Is that true the crank, rods,and pistons from the D16Y8 will fit into the D17 with no modifications at all??

I think he was asking about the D16 parts in the D17, not the other way around as you described. No need to be a dick either, he's just asking a question.

Flat out no. It was tried, and it doesnt work.... the timing cogs are different and the ECU cant count right. I know the guy who tried it, countless times with AEM to get a file written to make it work and it just will not run.
Dont waste your time.
