Hi guys, Ive got the marcus dairy meet in conneticut on sunday and have ran into a jam. my drivers axle just starting making noise, not clicking but a constant rotational noise, and I dont want to drive 3 hours on a bad one. My question is if I can use other axles besides a type r one since Im short on time. civic si/integra gsr/etc. The part number for the acura type R axle is different then the si and gsr but will it work? is it just as strong? it seems thicker. thanks for any input

 

I'm pretty sure any abs axle for integra will work. Try searching

 

I just did a search and found one relative post, I want to confirm this before getting an axle

 

I'm positive any abs integra axle will work. Not sure about civic though. I installed gsr axles in my car.

 

thanks, the type R axles dont seem thicker to you? I havent seen them side by side but I thought they were. 36mm compared to 32mm?

 

I think that's the size of the hub, not the axle
