Default Question for anyone using the Alpine 7893/7894

Just looking for some help on the following issues. First, I'm using a 4 channel amp for my speakers, which means I should leave the IPC-off right? I believe having IPC-on uses the built in amp on the head unit to power the speakers rather than my external amp. Is this correct? Also, how many of you actually took the time to set up the time delay for each individual speaker?, and if done correctly does this make a good improvment of sound quality? Thanks for the info...

I have that head unit, but you got me, I have no clue??

I'm using the unit to push a 6.5 MBQuart reference series componet set in the front, and a 5.25 MBQuart reference series componet set in the rear with no external amp.

Good luck

If you are using an amp,YES you can (should) turn power ic off. I'm using the time delay in my rex and enjoy it. I have it set up for imaging. I guess the true test will be when i complete the audio upgrades and test it in competition. /////ALPINE has raised the bar by including this feature in mid priced radios.

Thanks for the info....I'm just gonna keep playin around with the amp and headunit settings until I have the sound I'm lookin for. I'm very impressed with Alpines newest product line. I'm using V12 amps to power both my interior speakers and my 12" eclipse sub and they put out great power and having lots of tuning capabilities.
