A mugen thermostat will not make your car cooler..

it is needed to run the fan switch. the fan switch will kick your cooling fans on at 80 degrees versus the stock 93 degrees. resulting in a cooler engine compartment and operating temperatures.

Wow..I promise i could find an easier way to waste your money for you..If you're that concerned about the 13° differential of temperature in your engine compartment, why not just override the switch and have the fan on at all time.

Sir, I can no longer be on a board that has someone like you on it. From reading your comments you are apparently a douche bag who has little automotive experience outside of reading Super Street or whatever you kids read nowadays. Bashing people with new I ideas which you would know nothing about because you have apparently never had an individual thought in your life. But go ahead, jump on the newest, latest trend and waste your money because I know you, when I worked parts, I saw your type every day. We laughed when we sold you "cobra eyes" and neon automatic shift *****, and laughed even harder when you asked if we could get you a nitrous kit after you saw Fast and Furious.

So go ahead, waste your money on that ****. What you don't know is that you are the butt of one of the funniest jokes ever.

in all fairness, you did ask for opinions.

anyway,

cost is prohibitive with the duo @ almost $180...

it's primarily a road racing kit too, which deters most from bothering.

is anyone from King still on this board? They'd probably have better info for you.

not necessarily. I ran a boosted car for 3+ years with zero cooling problems....completely stock cooling system. and i used to beat the crap out of that car. maybe if you road raced but I'd still bet on the stock system.

Sure, your car didn't overheat, but the cooler air still MAY have helped even more.

maybe but im not a track guy. if i road raced maybe i'd care more about the cooling system.

driving a turbo'ed car on a hot day will make the car feel sluggish whether you had a thermostat that opened at 98 degrees or 88 degrees. you may be cooling the engine but you can't do much about hot ambient air.

if there was a difference you'd hardly feel it.

True true. I wasn't trying to say you'd gain hp/ feel a difference or any outrageous claim like that, but at least it is a mod that could potential serve a purpose.
