h23 clutch problem (searched)
ok my girlfriend has a 95 prelude si h23a 200 on the body 60 or so on new motor(h23). one day after class she tried to start it but wouldnt start and her clutch felt soft so she pumped it 4 times and it got harder and it started it wont let her go into gear when the clutch is soft either and sometimes bogs when pulling off....im used to cable trannys so im kinda lost....and i checked the fluid and its full so can anyone pleas help me out a bit thanx
Check for leaks in the clutch system. Just follow the line from the master cylinder all the way over to the slave on the front of the tranny.
ok i followed all the lines and could not find a leak so i squueezed the slave cylinder manually and heard slushing noises from the master cylinder and nowhere else....i drove the car today and as soon as u put the clutch down to start it it siks to the floor so its def losing pressure some how.....now what?
If you're not leaking anywhere, you may have air in the lines or really old fluid. I would bleed out all the old fluid and replace it with new...that will also make sure there's no air in there.
Get on the floor of your car and look at the where the clutch pedal meets the firewall and check for leaking or seeping of any kind.I had a similar problem....checked every where couldnt find it....bled the clutch like 10 times and nothing worked....finally I noticed the tiniest seep coming from the clutch master,on the inside of the firewall, sure enough that was the culprit.Good luck
