Anyone have a DIY turbo install for an s2000?
are you sure you're ready to go forced induction if you have to ask this question? the only turbo install guide there will be will only be for the kits out there.. and even then it won't be that simple. take a look in the forced induction section of this forum and see what it is.. basically its just a turbo, manifold, piping, intercooler, blowoffvalve, charge piping, injectors, fuel pump if neccessary, oil lines, tuning device, and gauges.

if you need step by step instruction there's a very good chance you are not ready for turbo installation, trust me.

Agreed, I turboed my 93 del sol by myself and pieced it all together alone.. It isn't hard, but if you have to ask.. You aren't ready.

I disagree. I built my turbo setup, and then my motor myself before I was into the "scene". DIY (with guideance) is a great way to learn. All I had was H-T for referance before I made friends that knew engines. Then again... this was on a d16, so the consiquences of me F-ing up were minimal.

How are pictures gonna do anything for you? And how is that different from any other car?
Here, imagine it in your head, you'll learn better this way.
1) Remove header.
2) Mount turbo manifold + turbo, and figure out a downpipe.
3) Mount intercooler.
4) Run piping from turbo to IC and IC to throttle body.
5) Plumb oil feed lines.
6) Drill a hole in your oil pan and plumb oil drain lines.
7) Plumb coolant lines if you want to.
8) Replace injectors.
9) Tune your car.
OMG, TURBO S2000!!!!! [freak]IN' AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
