A friend of mine is selling his Ninja 600 and after seeing it and it being right up my alley, cleanliness wise, I decided to take it for a spin. I've riden other bikes before, just around the block, but this thing really fealt good. Not super hunched over, feet reach the ground, and it seems like a fairly forgiving bike/easy to handle.

It's a 2005 with 3500 on the clock, pearl white, carbon front fender, full exhaust, power commander, wave discs/ss lines front and rear, and some other little stuff. With that said, I'm not sure it's worth the 6k he's asking. Any input on the bike and it's price?

Don't pay a red cent over 5K. I'd offer 4500.

It's not a 600, BTW..it's a 636, and designated as a ZX6R.

Correct, a 600 would have two Arr's right?

Might have a hard time finding a clean 636 here in wisconsin for 4500...Better chance looking at a f4i for that..

That's IF he is at a dealership..

Yeah, rode one a year or two ago. The owner was a nice guy.

 

Not to thread jack but besides the 36cc's what were the differences between the two models?

One is stunted, the other isn't =P

But anyways...
-Different look, bore, cylinder head placement, as well as exhaust valves and crankcase being shorter/lower... few more things...google that ****..

suspension, the RR was meant to be a more race oriented bike than the 636.

That seams low for a price, the bike is mint + the goodies it comes with. But that's why I posted. I know it's a 636 and I've been reading the reviews, haven't heard of many negatives.

Everytime someone writes that term to describe parts on a bike, I think of that stupid rap song. Really alters the perception of the term

I didnt know they made an 05 636 in white though

they didn't. It's been down I'm sure, and painted.

Nope never been down, just repainted. Was a shops bike they did for advertisement purposes. I've got pics on my cell phone but no way to upload them.

I'll just go take more pics of it with my digi. I don't feel like adding more to my cell phone plan, which is what it just asked me to do.
