Caliper and ABS? Help
Alright guys.
My abs light keeps coming on.. i have searched for the abs in the faq and some of the post that i ran across but none of them saying anything about what im looking for..
I drove in a whole during teh winter time, i had to change the break lines (the entire break lines), the master cylinder, all the break pads and rotors. The pedal still soft, goes all the way down and i see only the front breaks working and the rear right, the rear left tho doesnt work. how do i know... cuz the NEW rotor is all rusted because of the rain, when bleeding the lines the fluid comes out from teh lines just fine but the caliper doesnt seem to work when i hit the breaks, is like there is no pressure or theliquid is coming out. i've checked where i park and theres no liquid leaking. now given that the caliper may be the problem do u think that could be why the abs light is on as well?
Thankx in advance guys.

Did you bleed your master cylinder? Air trapped there will not be purged during caliper bleeding.
What year car do you have? Have you pulled the ABS codes to determine why the ABS light is illuminating?

Yes i did bleed the master cylinder, and i have a 98 gs automatic, and no i have not pulled the codes fromt he abs i dont know how to do that....
Pull the ABS codes like you would a CEL (see the FAQ thread, second link). You simply read the ABS light for the codes.
Can you pump the brake pedal and maintain pressure off of the floor?

I am going to pull up the codes... but the light dont blink so u know.. it just comes on and stays on.
i can pump the break and the presure does no stay on.

thankx bro.
its a brand new master cylinder... u think it might be DOA.? i dont think so.. like i sd the fluid flows fine to the other 3 calipers except the rear left and given that, that caliper doesnt work, could it cause this?
EDIT: the fluid flows fine thru thebreak lines.. to all 4 of them but only 3 calipers work and the only that doesnt seem to work is the rear left.
