Default How reliable would a '97 Prelude with 150k miles be?

I am looking for a nice daily driver and I have found a clean '97 Prelude with about 150,000 miles on the clock. The car seems to have been properly maintained, and the exterior/interior appear to be in good shape. I have had 3 s2000s, so I am quite familiar with them and their life expectancies, but I do not know much about Preludes. What kind of life expectancy do these engines have (given normal conditions)? What kind of repairs would I be looking at for a car with this many miles?

Oh, and it is an automatic (boring, I know).

Mine had 206K before I replaced it. It ran great before the swap. Only burned about a qt of oil ever 3-4K miles, and I didnt take it easy on it by any means. It really depends on how well it wass maintained.

word.

had over 250K on mine before she went, and it was no stranger to 7200rpm. And that was an H23, which isn't made to rev like that..

My 98 auto has 138k on the clock and she runs like a champ. I don't beat on her, but she sees her fair share of VTEC. It threw a mis-fire code once so I replaced the spark plugs and that was that.

s2000 use timing chain, so they will go a long ways. prelude used timing belt, so i would say as long as its been change you should be okay. all vtec burn oil

as long as the maintenance is kept up with it you should be fine. I have a friend whos prelude had 230k on it and we beat on it all the time. still runs as good as mine which has 136k.
