can you please help me with my engine codes and why its backfiring
I just put a complete 98 type-r motor in my car and it runs like crap. Engine code #9 is on and it backfires like crazy.........what do i do to fix it? thanks!

Code 9: CYP - Cylinder Position
This signal is needed for the fuel injection.
The Sensor is in the Distributor, so check the Distributor and wireing.
