Ebay exhaust system question!
i need to know if anyone has ever tried an exhaust system on ebay for civic h/b and does it work good???i am talking about the non brand name thats stainless steel and you can get it for only 180 bucks.
i used one on my eg last year, it fit good sounded good i cant complain. i sold the car so im not sure how it lasted. the welds were nice, but again i dont know how long it lasted. was definately worth the money IMO, if you dont have the money for name brand exhaust.

I can't agree more. I got a fart can about 2 1/2 years ago. Sounded like this "FAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTT.....FARRRRRRRRRRRR RTTTTT" etc... redlined it once, and i popped the resonator welds so every time I would use 3.5k revs my exhaust would annoyingly rattle. Also when idling it would rattle. I'll never buy ebay exhausts again. Fckin suck dick.

yeah, they suck, you get what you pay for, i got one, had to modify it because the LCA was hitting on it, then i finally replaced the damn fart can with a REAL muffler, Vibrant, sounds and looks so much better now, but i supose for the $150 i spent or so its ok for the piping atleast, its a lower grade of stainless, but it still has surface rust, if i had to i would just buy some mandrel piping and make my own catback, those ebay ones arent worth it imo
i have one for my hatch, and it fits great. its tucked up into the body perfectly. I would have to agree the stainless looks low quality and will probably pit and rust eventually, thats why i am going to paint it. it does sound good, nice and deep. but not as good as a more expensive exhaust. the best part about the ebay exhaust is the price.
As far as bang for your buck, you cant beat it. If you can afford to, it might be a good idea to spend some extra money on a better sounding and more permanent exhaust.

You should never cut coners, man. Especially with your ride. Instead of getting the impulse cheap buy, I suggest you always buy name brand parts off well known websites that have good reputations.

yeah, i always learn that the hard way because im a cheap ***, but at least i know how to weld with a tig welder enough, ive fixed it twice and prob spent almost 5-6 hours total on fixing it and putting a new muffler on it, but im happy i did, because it sounds so much better now, no more raspyness at all, and i love it so much more now! i just wish i would have gone with a 3" or at least 2.5 or 2.75 if i could, bc i will be going turbo soon, sucks but i dont want to spend another 300 or so on new piping, eventually i will prob end up just making my own 3", after i finish the turbo and other stuff that takes more priority.
