Default boost cut...searched

just got my car tuned. the tuner tuned the car with his own boost controller (manual) the car was tuned to 16psi. everything is fine got the car back and had to get my controller tuned up to 16psi its a greddy profec b type s. got low boost set to 10psi and have been trying to get high boost set up to 16psi and i can only get it to about 13psi anything after that and it hits boost cut. at 4th gear pulls if i roll into it it wont hit boost cut till about 7000. if i smash it in 3rd it hit boost cut almost instantly. the turbo is a 30r. just stumped on what to do. called the tuner and he said that i should mess around with the gain and go from there. not sure what to do with that if i should go back or forward depending on boost level. he also said that maybe i should run lower boost. but why run lower boost when he got it to 16psi on his boost controller i'd like to get as much power out of it as i can and if it makes the power it does on 16 i want to run that. [freak] lower boost.

Maybe your mechanical boost gauge just isn't accurate. I have noticed 90% of them are nowhere near right. They never match what i see in hondata, crome are any program for that matter
