original engine? I think I got played =(
Hi, just wondering is there a way to tell if the engine I have right now is the original engine that came with the car??
because couple nights ago it just hit me that the previous owner might have swapped in a higher mileage engine from his other Integra but passing it as "only" 65k miles when he sold it to me
.
Im asking because the previous owner was shady as hell, he had 2 integra GSR's and would swap stuff back & forth, before my dad took the car home, he took the spare tire, took the carpets, took the GSR blades & gave me GSR starfish rims because he said these had more "thread" in it (BS). He also told me he replaced the clutch & tranny and changed the oil (all BS) sold me the car with AC broken and tons of stuff that I found out on my own. Help me out guys

its a 2000 integra GSR, Im kinda slow but is the VIN on the engine & tranny suppose to be the same as my car VIN on the windshield?
thats correct the
tranny has the vin near where tranny matches the engine underneath distributor
engine vin is underneath the exhaust
so match it up to the vin on firewall
vin on windshield
and vin on door

The transmission VIN should be the same as your VIN on your windshield. If not then he either swap it out for a different maybe because it was broken or some sort. The engine has a serial code but no VIN.
Your username looks familiar aren't you on stephanie profile?
