Need help, car overheating after hose change
Alright guys one of my cooling hoses from my block going to iwhat i think is the water pump was cracked and was leaking coolant, i replaced it with a brand new one and when i start the car it overheats, im trying to bleed it by filling the coolant base to the top of the filler neck, cracking open the radiator cap, and then starting the car but it still overheats and no coolant is comming out of the bleeding spot.
only thing i can think of is that your thermostat might be stuck close?? try doing those last three steps backwards also...expect the overheating
because that's how i do mines..... o yea that let the car cool down first...

you might just have air bubbles in there, you can do it in your driveway by starting the car, open the radiator cap, and fill with fluid a little bit at a time, expect coolant to bubble out as it works its way through the motor.
p.s. start with the engine cold
