97 honda civic hx wierd jolting problem? help please!
I bought a 1997 Honda Civic HX about a year ago and I still have this same problem. Every time I come to a complete stop and then press on the accelerator (like on a stop sign or red light) the whole car shakes and vibrates for about a second. It is an automatic with about 64K miles. Please help!

I have fixed the the timing belt and changed the catalytic converter and I still have the same problem. Any ideas?
No, just when I come to a complete stop and give it gas to go. I've notice it does it worse going up-hill along with driving in flat areas. Very, very annoying in stop and go traffic.
an hx with an auto tranny has a cvt transmission, that stands for constant velocity transmission, it is basically i giant torque converter, and it pushes a giant metal braided belt inside. if it is having problems, i would suggest changing the fluid in it with oem stuff, and give me some time, and i can look up troubleshoting for you. this can easily become a expensive problem, and may need a dealer for proper repair
