B16a Timing help! (i searched, all i find is b18's?)

Default B16a Timing help! (i searched, all i find is b18's?)

short and sassy, looking to safely set up the timing on my jdm second gen b16a.

ecu: p28 mugen chip + vafcII
gsr enjectors
running a cat

i just rebuilt the dizzy and looking to safely set the btdc to give me time to save up before i take it to the dyno for proper tuning. (to advance its counter clockwise right?) thanks guys

use a timing light and you should figure it out.

to answer your question: yes but i strongly recommend you use a timing light.

yeah, i was gonna borrow one, i just want to know where i should safetly set it at.

what i found;



but what is safer? 0btc, 14btc, 16btc, and 18btc?

right now the motor has no power compaired to before the dizzy repair, and the timing wasnt done, just a usual slap on "as close as possible" to the old location...didnt have the timing gun at the time the dizzy was put back on

someone correct me if im wrong but 16*BTC(the middle line) is stock, so i would set it there.

yup, i was off by 6 degrees, put it back to 16, runs like a champ!
