my friend has this kit on a zc/y8 with headstuds and a zex cam on 8 psi and he has had no problems with it so far. He has had it for about a year or so and no cracks or anything. I have a feeling the turbo will need a rebuild soon but thats pretty typical

looks to me to be the same ole ebay junk, i mean hell the wastegate is on backwards in the first couple pics then in the last ones where the manifold is on the car has a completely different wastegate on it.

Manifold design isn't really up to par, where the wastegate port is could cause boost creep since its only running off of one runner. And notice if you look closely the manifold thats on the car is different than the one in the pics above it

I don't know why you consider this a "new" ebay turbo kit. Look at all the parts, they're the same as always. Knockoff 57 trim, low quality downpipe, generic cast manifold, improperly positioned chinese gate. Thats a terrible deal for $500 shipped..

A lot of the bias comes from actual experience.... Researching on the web only gets you so far when nobody posts up about how they f*cked up... Those folks wouldn't share about how they wasted their money on crap which 90% of the forum members warned them about in the first place, would they?...lol

You know that this equipment is substandard when you think that it is typical for a turbocharger to need a rebuild after only one year of use. A turbocharger, when properly designed and built can last for over 300,000 miles before any rebuild is necessary, or at least several YEARS, depending upon the abuse. Only when you've had equipment over 7 years + without any hassles can something be considered truly "reliable" in this sport.

It looks like the same old garbage they've been making all along, but now they've copied the RevHard manifold design. Now if i was going to copy any manifold design, it sure as hell would not be that one. Even if the manifold doesn't break, it will have issues with boost creep due to the "wonderful" wastegate placement on #4 runner.

my friend has had a similar set up, the only issues was getting it to fit, there was a little modification with the piping, seems like they just peiced it together and called it a day.

but over all its not a bad kit. there are cheaper complete ebay kits, just look into it. if u do get it, i'd like to no how it runs. people just hear stories and not buy it, but if its not from experience than just try it out.. the turbo looks good, but don't no if its really durable.

good luck

it may be a cheap kit, but i dont see why people think that manifold will cause boost creap... i have a very similar manifold and have no boost problems at all, using a tial 38mm and if anything my boost drops off a little bit in the higher rpm's
