Hey guys, have a question for you...

A very high release/engage point on my clutch pedal led me to replace it (thought it was going to start slipping, had an extra laying around), but its still very very high - I can disengage the transmission with less then a one inch travel. I played with the clutch pedal and don't believe that is adjustable, is there anything I can do about this? Is this a very common problem with this make model? It just doesn't feel very good for the driver and I feel that with the slightest bit of clutch wear a brand new clutch will begin to slip.... help?

How do I adjust the clutch pedal engagement point? Will this effect the free play?

first thing u can check is if u bleed da clutch after changing it.. if u did then u can adjust da clutch pedel wit 2 12mm open hand wrenches. If u look on the back of the clutch pedal you will see a rod connecting to the clutch and there will be 2 bolts. since its catching high then u can adjust it by lossening da bolts and screwing it more in so that the pedal has at least 2inchs of play. you may have to do it more than once to get it were u want it to be

 

I've tried this before with poor results. The release was lowered, but the free play went way out of the acceptable range.
I've searched the forum and I cant come up with anything.....
please tell me this is adjustable....
