Help on a b16a1 Sir
I have the option of buying a car this weekend with a b16aiSir full swap for my ef
the compression test was 150 160 190 190,
its not smoking at high rpm or when shifting ,
Could this just be the head gasket?

forgot to mention compression was done on a cold engine, i have no idea if that makes a diffrence.

Well pour a teaspoon of oil into cylinders 1 and 2, redo the compression test, if the numbers jump up to the same level as cylinders 3 and 4, you know the rings are bad.
