Changing Brake and Clutch Levers on RC51, got some ?'s before I start.
New to bikes as most on here know. But got in some new brake and clutch levers for appearence and was wondering if this was a difficult task and really dont want to jump in with both feet not knowing what to expect. Is there anything I should do to make sure the clutch and brakes still work or is this just a few bolts and im done or what?
I know some of the people are going to get on my case about asking something but if you must do so, feel free to.

If it takes you longer than 30 minutes.....25 of those minutes spent drinking beer, then sell your motorcycle right now and never think about buying another one.

Thanks, I was unsure if there was something connected to it that controlled the brakes or clutch, I guess kind of like a bicycle is why I wanted to check before I started on it.
Thanks again!

I'd take the opportunity to change out the cables to if I were you. Proper cable adjustment will ensue post lever change in order to make the actuation feel similar to pre-lever change
Brake lever - 1 to 2 minutes...
Clutch lever - approx 5-10 minutes tops...
On my GSXR, I had to loosen the whole clutch lever assembly to get the right angle for the cable to come out..

So, is there anything I need to worry with on that? I knew it was hydraulic, ( actually ran across the conversion to the cable setup) but is there anything between the lever and clutch that I would have to disconnect or worry about messing up?

No worries, theres actually less involved for you at this point. You might wish you had cable when you change the fluid but at this point its no problemo. Theres a little sensor with usually 2 prongs near the pivot point of the lever, dont worry about it Im just letting you know it's there. Its just a sensor to let the bike know you have the clutch pulled in when you start it in gear. Other than that have fun withe the whole 2 screws you'll be removing

yep wasn't nothing to it..it was harder to adjust the dang dial on the clutch lever then it was to put it on..
