Default battery / alternator problem?

alright. so the other day i got into my car and the battery was dead.

took the battery to autozone and they charged it up and I threw it back in my car and drove for 1 day and a half.

Today the car died while on the road due to the battery.

So I thought it was the Alternator. Brought the alternator to Autozone and they tested it and it tested "PASS".

Now im confused. Im really hoping its not an electrical problem.

But the thing is. If my alternator was good and working. shouldnt it have been charging up my battery while i was drviing? Since my car died on me while I was driving it.

Or could it just be the battery, but autozone tested it too and it tested good.

battery pass
alternator pass

there must be something else staying on so check before ;you leave your car.
example any lights on
fan on or anything in that matter, resulting in draining the battery

the brushes in the alt could have started to go bad. so its not always making contact and draining your battery. it would also explain why it passed the test. i know on some alts you can just replace the brushes and its only a few bucks.

so you think that might be the reason it passed?

im really hoping its just a bad alt.. not really wanting to deal with any electrical problems.
