I installed a new Sony stereo. The Crutchfield guy said to cap off the dimmer wires since I don't need them with this stereo. Now my dash lights don't work. All the fuses are good and all my other lights are working.

So I opened it back up and connected the dimmer and illumination wires and it immediately blows my fuse (instrument lights).

Anyone have any idea?

 

make sure its grounded first... that used to happen to me on my eclipse (ughhh, terrible car). I had grounded it, but it came loose when i put the deck back in place, so I had to reground it and vuela, problem fixed!
