DA Integra Clutch Problem
I have a 1992 Integra race car and was at the track this weekend and the clutch went bad. I removed the worn-out ACT pressure plate and 6-puck clutch, and put in a stock clutch disc and pressure plate from Acura. I left the release bearing, which according to ACT was an OEM type bearing.
The problem now is that the clutch disc won't disengage. The cable is adjusted all the way out -- as long as it can be -- and the clutch arm is bottomed out on the trans case when I hit the clutch pedal.
If I put the car in gear with the clutch pedal in, the car will move. If I hit the brake it won't stall. If I dump the clutch with the brake on, it will stall. So it seems like it's dragging a little tiny bit.
Any ideas what the issue might be? I'm baffled
