preventing blown head gasket from a turbo
lately i have been thinking about turboing my car but i'm worried about blowing my headgasket which sounds like a common problem with many turbo'd honda's. my question is there any way to prevent it like a aftermarket radiator or some sort. much help would be apreciated. Thanks
not really. a good tune will save you from a blown head gasket. there are a lot of boosted members all on the stock HG. its just as strong supposedly as after market ones and just as easy to blow
To prevent a blown head gastet you will need to first find out how much psi your engine can handle without blowing it up. if you have the d17 like I do than no more than 8 psi on a stock bottom end. If you keep your car with a GOOD TUNE at 6-8 psi you will not blow the head gasket most likely.
