so i own 2 da's that me and my stepdad race on 3/8ths of a mile high banked oval tracks. the car we just got together weighs around 1900 pounds completely gutted, caged with crower stg 2's and a mild tune.
the cars got decent *****.
this is where problems come in...
it handles great, this is "supposed" to be an all stock class so i have to run a 195 60 series 15 (saturn steelies), anyways. the car wont hook coming out of the turns
handles great, brakes great, yet coming out of the turn the inside wheel completely looses traction and spins half way down the straight away.
the car would be great if i could actually get some of that power to the ground so im thinking of buying an lsd. i dont want to spend a buttload on one so i was wondering if obx is any good.. cheap, i just havent heard anything about them.
whats your guys' opinions? OBX...any good?

Here is one thread:

The earlier units had issues with axle removal. Overall, these units are similar to the ITR LSD.

i have an obx lsd///love it, great price works great and easy install... all the earlier issues have been fixed but would rec... dissassembly and inspect to check and make sure everything is in the right place and tighten all the bolts... other than that no problems here!

thanks for the input. i think i shouldnt really have a problem im not really gonna be abusing the hell out of the thing.. just constant left hand tunrs lol so i think i might try one out
could you do anything with your alignment to help the turns also??? Like throw positive camber on the inside tires(i think that's what they do in nascar)? Anyway just a thought, hope i'm not stating the obvious
i run the obx lsd..it works great havent had any problems with it breaking or anything....the only issue with mine is if you have to take out the pass. side axle have fun, you have to pound it out. you can get it out but its a little bit of a project
