I'm running the OBX LSD and have been for quite some time. It's very noisy (whining) but it hasn't broken yet.

My brother just picked up an MFactory LSD for this season. Tiny bit of a whine/whirr (I can't even hear it, he says he does) but other than that, drives just like stock.

The OBX works, but the MFactory is SO much nicer. Not even in the same ballpark in terms of QC.

I made 644whp on an OBX and has over 20 passes better then a 10.3. It has held so far.

That is my experance with it. Out of the box into the tranny with proper shimming. I did not even take it apart to check everything!

basically id say if you dont mind taking a gamble, go with the OBX. But you want to be assured you have a good product, go Mfactory.

I never reccomend OBX but ive been street driving an obx lsd for 2 years with a twin disk with 600+hp and 40+passes and have not had one single issue. It has worked flawlessly. Ill upgrade when it breaks.

i have done 3 obx lsd for gsr trans all i did was buy stronger washers put them in the correct pressure pattern )()()( and upgrade bolts and torque them no problems. this unit is almost a direct clone of a quaife lsd,,,,,,, not bad for the money and works good. now if u buy it and install as is u may run into problems is a hit or miss at that point

i would have to vote against OBX. the first and only product i ever bought from obx was a DIFF and the ring gear holes werent even tapped. i send it back for another and this is what i end up with after less than 2k miles of use! LOL

the prob with obx is their parts are hit or miss, IDK about you guys but i cant afford a $500 paper weight.its been said time and time again, you get what you pay for . you can guarantee i wont make this same mistake again. OBX warranty is for manufacturer defects only. just a lil somthing to think about!
