Default Will this compressor power an air gun well enough to remove crank pulley bolt?

Im trying to undo my crank pulley bolt using the air compressor on the link below. Ive just cranked it up to 110PSI and its not shifting the bolt which I believe is tightened to 130lbs/ft, am I wasting my time? Im hoping someone knows about the PSI/HP to torque relationship.

I do have this tool on order but wanted to get it done with the air compressor if possible. http://www.denlorstools.com/sh...G.jpg

Any help would be appreicated, cheers

i dont know if the size of the compressor really matter as long as your gun is strong enough. which impact gun are you using?

a standard IR 231 gun produces about 500ft/lbs of torque in reveres. i never had any issues removing those bolts with that gun. i also have the IR 2135ti which produced something like 680ft/lbs of torque in reverse. it to will blast that bolt off no trouble.

as long as the compressor tank can keep up with the needs of the gun it will be fine.....

At the Acura shop, they dont even bother with using an impact, they use a four foot breaker bar. And these guys use the IR Titanium 1/2 inch gun

Cheers for the advice, I shall try my other air gun hooked up to the same compressor. The tool I ordered arrived but was for the 45mm crank pulley so their sending out the one to fit the 50mm instead. Heres both of them below...

I'm thinking your going to want a bigger compressor.

I have a Sear Craftsman that goes to 150psi and it drives my 3/4" impact.

There are still some nuts and bolts that I have to get the 3FT pipe and put it on the 24" breaker bar.

Make sure your sockets are high quality to handle the torque.

If you haven't bought a compressor yet buy a big one. You'll be thankful in the long run.
