so i've done some research and since i might be needing a new radi8tor, i came across the dual core's. i heard automatics and del sol's radiator are good for 92-95 hb. they said it fits right in perfectly and keeps the car cooler.
what do you guys think about the radiators on ebay? which websites has the best deals?
aluminum or plastic?

my car is stock and plan on being stock with the dual core radiator.

If your car is stock, then your stock single core radiator is sufficient. Upgrading for no reason, especially if your current radiator isn't leaking, will serve no purpose and you won't notice the difference.

what blk00ej8 is trying to say is if you gonna keep your car stock then you dont need a dual just buy a new stock radi for you cx. the only realy i went dual is because i put a swap in my car. a stock NEW radi will save you a lot more money then putting a dual performance radi in your car

Both will keep your car the same temp. Your stock radiator is made to cool your car sufficiently, and while a dual core has the capacity for more cooling, it doesn't mean your car is going to run cooler. There are things like your thermostat opening temp and your coolant temp switch for your fan that will keep your coolant at about the same temperature either way.

Ding ding ding. Somebody finally gets it.
If you want your car to run cooler get a cooler thermostat.

If your car isn't overheating there is no need for a bigger radiator, and the thermostat is what regualtes temp anyways.
Your engine actually runs less efficently at lower temps anyways, the reason to run colder thermostats is to avoid detonation.

what could be the problem?
i will definately buy new radiator but not sure as to which one.-dual or single.

find the problem to your overheating first before you spend cash.
make sure you have no air in your cooling system (bleed it).
make sure you have no leaks.
check your thermostat (mine wasn't seated properly and gave me probs).
try a known good radiator cap.
and ive heard good stories about those nice looking dual core radiators from ebay. search up other people's reviews with them first though.

if it takes your car 2 hours to overheat, your problem is NOT your radiator. Save your money.
Get a new thermostat, some coolant flush stuff and a new radiator cap.
Flush everything out and start with a fresh 50/50 coolant mix.
When's the last time your water pump was done?

as stated before, it has been done twice. replaced t-stat(2 times), flushed out coolant(2 times), and a new radiator cap.
water pump was replaced 2 years ago along with the t-belt.

Just get a new OEM radiator. My bros 95 dx had a massive overheating problem for a while. checked water pump then looked real hard and found a crack in the radiator. check hoses too. also, regular maintainance is important, as is not running your car into the ground for that 2 hours.

i've never abuse my car. i babied her since day one. i always change oil and filter every 3k miles or 3 months, whichever one comes first. i'm hoping it's not the head gasket. i hope a new radiator will solve this matter. who knows how long the radiator's been there considering the car being 16 years old. i replaced the distributor cap and rotor too, and that thing was shot dark and burnt like a over toast bagel.
