On Saturday I had to call animal control to extract this guy from my engine bay. This was outside of my store on Capital Boulevard that this groundhog decided that the blacktop underneath my car was his favorite spot to lay out and enjoy the rays.
When we stepped out of the store to try to chase him off, he would instantly climb into my engine and ball up under the intake manifold and airbox.
I tried setting off the alarm and beeping the horn but at the end of the day animal services came and poked him out of there. Wild.
haha he was trying to steal your enginz!
thats crazy tho, i once pulled up somewhere and for some odd reason went under my hood to show my friend something and a cat came barreling out as soon as i popped the hood, scared the **** out of me.

The thing about it was that it was kind of cool at first by it literally kept me at work for another 45 minutes. I had plans to play basketball dammit!
I would have kept it...what thief is gonna mess with your R when that kritter pops out? He just needs a little training to get used to the sound of VTEC and all is well.
So what does animal control do with a groundhog...relocate or destroy? If they relocate and he really liked your R, he might be back

They just poked him out of there with the neuse-stick thingy and he ran away...
I figured that they'd take him to a creek or something, but I guess he's going to find another B18 to hide in.

*waits for the funny punch line with your picture*
Curious, why couldnt you have gotten into the car and just driven away? Im sure he woulda gotten out of there if the car was running.

I wouldn't suggest it. Some friends came to visit once...on their four hour trip home something didn't sound right. They kept driving anyway. The next day I got a call asking if one of my neighbors was missing a cat. One had crawled up into his engine to stay warm and the results were not pretty. He had to change out some pulleys and belts, but he couldn't get rid of the smell and splatter. He spent months cleaning it up.

I thought about the option of starting my remote start for about 0.1 seconds. That would have been a bad idea.
Without reposting it, does anyone remember that photo of the poor boa?
