How do you know it's running lean? Do you know your A/F ratio and/or fuel pressure?

yea honestly if your going by what an autometer gauge is telling you.... i bet you thats its not 100% accurate. is the car actually acting up.... like bogging or hesitating?

No, you cannot diagnose a lean condition by smell....maybe the world's top mechanics can, but I doubt any of us are that good.

How do you exactly kow your car is running lean. And I hope it not your nose.

What color are your plugs?

Is there black soot on your bumper?

HAve you had your injectors tested?

From what you have said so far, thats what seems to be missing.

(And yes black soot on the bumpers means your running rich, not lean, I know)

adding to what acidcracker said, white spark plugs would indicate your lean condition

That way is not sufficent. I dont know exactly how a screw driver can tell if your running the injectors lean or not. You have to have them flow tested a shop.

They might not be opening up all the way, or are gunked up. Thats the true way to know for sure.
