Default clutch seems constantly disengaged

ive got the car up on jackstands and when i push the clutch in and put it in first, then let the clutch out, the tires wont move. pushing the clutch in and out doesnt seem to do anything.

Is the car on? Can you spin the wheels yourself? Did you recently take out the axles or the transmission? What did you do recently that causes you to question the clutch?

well the axle was out of the tranny partially and thats why it was like that. new problem though, now its constantly engaged. i can shift into gears "ok" when the car is off, but when its on, the clutch is constantly engaged and i cant move it into gear (while the car is on the ground). its a competition clutch stage 5.

Cable or hydro transmission? Did you bleed the clutch (hydro)?

bled it a lot after work. clutch pedal feels great now, but still wont go into gear once the car is started. i guess its some kind of throwout bearing problem?

you must mean the clutch is engaged while you have the clutch pdeal depressed?
what about when the clutch pedal is released and the car is on? still engaged?

you may have installed something improperly... the first time i did a clutch something simalar to this happend to me; i took out everything and reinstalled it again.. and it worked fine(my buddy said something could have been put in backwards? i never bothered to check, i just went ahead and reinstalled everything)

or try the throwout bearing... but while your doing that take a look in there.

i did replace it. i think it either came off the fork or isnt lining up right on the pressure plate. when i take the transmission off, im going to re install the clutch and everything. hopefully all will be good tomorrow. and yes the clutch is constantly engaged, even with the pedal depresssed
