Default 1999 Honda Civic Sir, Car not starting, rapid clicking noise

1999 Honda Civic Sir, 1.6L Coupe. Manual.

Just tried to start it today and all I hear is a rapid clicking noise coming from the starter area.

My lights come on and interior lights all seem ok so I think my battery is fine. Could this be my starter?

Sounds like your starter bit the dust.

check the wires to the starter.. if not.. sounds like the battery doesnt have enough power.

rapid clicking is usually a bad battery.
a single click is usually starter.

check the voltage on the battery and go from there...

you can try tapping the starter with a big screwdriver or a small hammer. if it starts after that then it's definately the starter and not a battery issue. you should have the battery tested to be safe though.

Clean your connections first. Working in auto parts, about 70% of the time, the battery just needs a charge and the terminals just need to be cleaned with a wire brush. Most auto parts stores will test and charge batteries for free.
