1999 Honda Civic Sir, Car not starting, rapid clicking noise
1999 Honda Civic Sir, 1.6L Coupe. Manual.
Just tried to start it today and all I hear is a rapid clicking noise coming from the starter area.
My lights come on and interior lights all seem ok so I think my battery is fine. Could this be my starter?

a single click is usually starter.
check the voltage on the battery and go from there...</TD></TR></TABLE>
i know this is true especially my car just sits in my garage and sometimes i hear that clicking sound when I don't run my car for awhile

you can try tapping the starter with a big screwdriver or a small hammer. if it starts after that then it's definately the starter and not a battery issue. you should have the battery tested to be safe though.

Clean your connections first. Working in auto parts, about 70% of the time, the battery just needs a charge and the terminals just need to be cleaned with a wire brush. Most auto parts stores will test and charge batteries for free.
