NEED HELP WITH O2 PLUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what happens if i wire 2 o2 sensor wires into just 1 o2 sensor plug? will it give out the same reading? will it work? i need help fast its my only car n it runs like $#!+
What car/engine do you have?
From what I've read on here, you only need the primary o2 sensor. The secondary one is just to very the cat is working and won't effect how the engine runs. If both of your o2 sensors are 4-wire, you should be able to swap them. You'll have a CEL, but the car will run fine.
Or just buy a generic 4-wire at an auto parts store. If your primary is a 5-wire, like in my HX, swapping won't work.

i got a 96 hatchback stock single cam, but with an ex header, both are 4 wire sensors, i have both sensors but theres no hole to plug in the secondary sensor, should i wire them together and run it to just one o2 sensor??
the primary O2 is mandatory, without it the car will run like crap and get poor mpg.
wiring two sensors to the same plug will not stop the CELs for the secondary O2 sensor. In fact it will likely set the CELs for the primary as well.
if you want to go catless pick up an O2 simulator. If you have a cat (a real one not a crap ebay tube with cat material on the outside portion) then have a location put in for it.
The wires are run from under the dash to the secondary O2. They may have been pulled into the car or simply removed by the previous owner.

i got the car stock from a lady, i have a catco cat but i dont wanna put it on, thats why i took off my old header( i didnt want a cat)
the wires are still there i just unplugged my secondary sensor to put on my ex header, but the motor runs too rich, i guess imma have to weld on a bung hole on the downpipe-part of the header

does the ex header have a big cat on the front of the headers with a hole for the 02 sensor?? if not then you have to extend your primary sensor wire and plug that into the downpipe.. youll notice that there are 2 o2 sensor wires.. one goes right down to the downpipe and the other is kind of short and it hangs right out next to the front of the headers.. u might be plugging in your secondary sensor into the downpipe this hole time because it reaches it thus thas why ur car is running like crap..

no, the ex header doesnt have a cat, so i have the sensors backwards?? i have the one highest plugged in into the front of the ex header, and the lower one that mounts on by the tranny is unplugged.... what should i do? do i have them backwards?!!

wait.. on your ex header is there a bung or a place to plug in a o2 sensor?? for an non ex model single cam there should be 1 right in the front of the headers where youll see a big cat and 1 plugged right into the downpipe of the headers.. but for an ex motor I beleive that its the same thing as a b series. meaning one goes to the downpipe of the headers and one after the cat that leads out to your exhaust.
also check the wire colors on both sensors.. a solid wire color is usually the primary o2 sensor.. while the ones with stripes is the secondary.

theres only one hole on the ex header and its actually on the side of the header, the other one is supposed to go right after the cat on the header, but now i dont have a cat, i just need to know which one is the primary, from the wiring harness is it the shorter one or the longer one, cuz both of them reach?

look at both o2 sensor wire plugs.. there should be 4 wires.. the one that you see with 2 solid colors is ur primary o2 sensor wire.. the one that you see with stripes are the secondary o2 wires.. hope this helps..

yeah, just hook up the primary O2, should run better but still have CEL
