96 EK o2 SENSORS ON EX VTEC HEADER!!!!!! HELP!!!!
i got a stock 96 hatch (non vtec) with a ex vtec header (no cat) n i have an o2 sensor unplugged cuz theres only one hole on the EX header instead of two.... does this make my motor run richer or leaner?? n my check engine light is on, THANKS!!!!

I believe its gonna make it run richer to protect your engine because it doesnt know what the problem is therefore its in "safe mode".... you need 2 holes for the sensors... hrmmm.. you can always extend the o2 wires... I think the one that hangs off the front of ur headers are the PRIMARY o2 wires.. so you need to extended that or buy an extension and plug that into the downpipe.. then the secondary o2 wire should go after the catalytic converter.. there should be a hole or a bung to plug in a secondary o2 sensor on ur catalytic converter after the downpipe..

am i losing hp on "safe mode"? what if i dont have a cat on the car? can i juss take it to a muffler shop n weld it on the piping?? where can i get an o2 sensor extension?? thanks

yes u are losing power.. ur ecu is not allowing ur motor to run at full potential so it may be a lil sluggish
Yes you can bring it to a shop and have them weld it on for you.. buy the cat and maybe the flanges which u can also get at password jdm for 2.25" piping.. and also a donut gasket so it doesnt leak.. hope this helps
