Default D16A6 Crankshaft Main Assembly - Identify this part

Okay, I know the D16A6 and D15B1 crankshafts and mains are not the same.
In looking at the mains, it looks like the A6 has an extra set of tapped holes. The D15B1 does not have these tapped holes.

What are these for?

You can see them here on the right, between cylinders 1 & 2.

And see them here on the left.

[sorry for jacking those pics from crxcommunity]

AFAIK, nothing goes there. Maybe on a different motor that main is used and the oil pickup is mounted there.

Good point about the wagon. There is reference to another oil system component (can't remember which now) in the Helm. That may have been it.

I know this part isn't on the D15B1. Anybody know if the ZC block has the tapped holes?

Where does part #2 go... it's the "breathing port cover" but it's not visible in the A6 pictures above. I took a D15B1 oil pan off last night and didn't see it there. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right spot...

That's for the D16A6.

I was sifting through an old box of A6 parts and one baggy is labeled: A6 oil "chute" -- guess I didn't know what it was actually called back then either!

It's definitely the same part as #2, and I was careful in at least labeling where it came from.

Ahh, here we go:

From my 91 CRX service manual

It looks like its the black sludgy part in the bottom left of the inside block in your first picture.
