Default how do I check for vacuum leaks?


My Idle is high and I went to a local performance shop and they seemed to think it may be do to a vacuum leak....so how do I check for one?

use a skwirt bottle of water. spay it on vacume lines. when the ideal goes down there is your leak. or your vacume lines could be wrong.

does high idling constitutes vacuum leak? how about low idling or idling dropping to 500rpm then goes back to the ideal idle rpm when decelerating? thanks
