Default Headlight help, tried search...

I tried searching but nothing was like mine, at least from the bunch I read through.
But anyway for some reason my driver side headlight goes out and to get it to turn back on I have to go up and hit the headlight each time I start the car or each time I turn the lights off then back on I still have to hit it to get it to turn on, I'm sure the bulbs good and I haven't opened up the headlight yet to take a look inside. I was thinking something was loose but that wouldn't explain why I have to hit the light even when I just simply turn the lights on and off, I also thought about the fuse but if the fuse was the problem then I don't think hitting the headlight would keep making it turn back on, I don't see how wires could be the problem either.
It just doesn't make sense to me why the only thing that works is hitting the light.

the wire ends inside the connector are probably corroded. Advance auto sells the connectors.. just cut the wires and solder the new ones in. I had the same problem in my 93 coupe

I took a look at the wires today and they seem to be the problem so I'm gonna replace those later, they're 10+ years old after all. But when I opened the hood to look at the light earlier today water spilled out from I don't know where, it was cold and a lot of it around the driver side headlight.
I was like "what the $&!%? It's a 100 degrees out..."
Where the heck could this leak come from?

yea replacing the wires is a good idea, and it was water instead of some sort of fluid?

Yeah I'm sure it was water but I have no clue where it came from, weirdest thing about it was that it was cold and it was easily around 100 degrees today, maybe it was just some freak moment but if it happens again then I'll start to worry, but for now I'll just keep an eye on it, maybe check for leaks tomorrow.

Figured out where the water came from and it wasn't the car so forget I mentioned that.

But as for the light, I replaced the bulb and put in better wires, I double checked to make sure everything was connected and it still won't come on unless I hit it WTF. Should I just say screw it and get a new headlamp? Maybe some HID lights

the only place water can come from that is cold on a hot day is the evaporator case drain, this is normal condensation fro the airconditioner running. if you have a/c. this should come out as it is created, but a clogged or partially clogged have been known to keep dripping for over a half hour.
